Patricia Nell Sallaz

Patricia N. Sallaz, 83, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 11, 2021, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, OH. She was born May 1, 1937, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Gilmon G. Grimm and Maude A. (Higginbotham) Grimm. Pat was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Point Pleasant. She had served as a member of the Mason County Senior Center Board of Directors, was a past member of the Point Pleasant City Council and had worked for various Insurance Companies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. John D. Sallaz Sr.; and two brothers, Everett "Gilly" Grimm and William "Bill" Grimm. Pat is survived by two sons, John D. Jr. (Rebecca) Sallaz of Point Pleasant and Randy L. (Cheryl) Sallaz of Culloden, WV; a daughter, Tina M. Frans of Bidwell, OH; two sisters, Carol L. (Dan) Jones of Point Pleasant and Maude "Susie" Noe of Parkersburg, WV; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021, at the Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Jonathan Pinson and Pastor Bo Burgess officiating. Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 7051 Ohio River Road, Point Pleasant, WV 25550 or Jordan Baptist Church, 2430 Clendenin Pike, Gallipolis Ferry, WV 25515.
