Patricia Lorraine Diamond

Patricia Lorraine Diamond, 69, of Point Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at home following a short illness.She was born June 20, 1948, in McDowell, KY, a daughter of the late Harry Allen Tackett and Aileen (Williams) Tackett Layne.Pat was a member of Bellemead United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant. She was a retired registered nurse from Pleasant Valley Hospital and for many years coached for the Point Pleasant Girls Softball League. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Michael Diamond.Pat is survived by her husband, Michael D. Diamond of Point Pleasant; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie A. and Robert Thompson of Louisville, KY and Michelle D. and Jesse Wolford of Smithfield, VA; six grandchildren, Matthew Ross, Megan Ashley, Andrea Noel, Madelyn Grace, Jessica Michelle and Shelby Elise; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Matthew and Aubree Marie. She is also survived by one brother, Dannis Tackett of Huntington, WV; two sisters, Betty Owens of Lacey, WA and Lena Faye Mosley of Lavalette, WV; and special friends and caregiver, Rick and Marti Baird of Southside.A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Jonathan Pinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Baird Family Cemetery in Southside, WV.
