Orville Everett Parsons, 44, of Henderson, died Saturday, March 7, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was a volunteer with the Point Pleasant EMS, Point Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department, and was the designated driver for the Double D Lounge. Orville was born October 24, 1964 in Point Pleasant to the late Everett Lee Parsons and Annie Hester (Gordon) Parsons Gillispie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Everett and Mary Jane Gordon; and a nephew, Bryan Matthew Hurlow. Surviving is his wife, Linda (Cantrell) Parsons of Henderson whom he married August 12, 1988; four sons, Timothy Parsons and wife Edden of Letart; Dale Parsons and girlfriend Tara Roush of Henderson; Jimmy Parsons of Henderson; and Curtis Parsons of Henderson; a grandson, Timothy Allen McKinley Parsons of Letart; aunt and uncle, Robert and Linda Gordon of Leon; cousin, Robert Gordon Jr. of Leon; and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Marshall Bonecutter officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Leon.
