Oma Lee Westmoreland, 81, of Point Pleasant, a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with her heavenly father, husband, son, and grandson on December 26, 2008 at her home. She was a homemaker, attended the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant and was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 16 of Cottageville, WV. Oma Lee was born February 27, 1927 in Crab Orchard, West Virginia to the late Walter Edward and Bessie (Johnson) Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Westmoreland; a son, Jerry Westmoreland; grandson, Shannon Westmoreland; and nine brothers and sisters. Surviving are her children, Rosa Lee (Andrew) Beattie of Point Pleasant, Anita Lynn (David) Fox of Fairmont, WV, Sandra Kay Mines of Atlanta, GA, Gary (Barbie) Westmoreland of Cottageville, WV, Randy Charles Westmoreland of Point Pleasant, and Dr. Danny R. (Kim) Westmoreland of Mason, WV; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ada Lee of LaPorte, IN; Irene Quillen of Crab Orchard, WV; and her caregiver, Josephine Kunjil. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, December 28 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Sayre and Pastor Sandy Longgrear officiating. Burial will follow at the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where an Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday.
