Okey Johnson Hurlow, 72, of Mason, WV, died Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, Ohio. He was born September 11, 1938 in Ambrosia, WV, a son of the late Joseph Leeman Hurlow and Nora Chloe (Robinson) Hurlow. Okey was a boilermaker, and member of Boilermakers Local No. 667 of Winfield, WV. He also was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason, WV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Louise Woods; two brothers, Dale Hurlow and Eugene Hurlow; a son-in-law, Howard Lee Henry; and one daughter-in-law, Deborah Lynn Hurlow. Surviving are his wife, Wilma Janet (Call) Hurlow of Mason; three daughters, Nora Elizabeth Henry of New Haven, Maria T. (Bruce) Hively of Crown City, OH, and Lisa Ann (Joshua) Stollings of Patriot, OH; one son, Mark David Hurlow of Mason; six brothers, Leo Joseph (Vivian) Hurlow of Crown City, OH, James Clayton Hurlow of Mason, William Kenneth (Garnett) Hurlow of Grove City, OH, Leonard Lee Hurlow of Crown City, OH, Samuel Lloyd (Hope) Hurlow of Gallipolis, OH, and John Wayne (Darlene) Hurlow of Point Pleasant; two sisters, Wilma (Lewis) Spires of Southside, and Betty Sue Rogers of Gallipolis, OH; fourteen grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason, WV with Father Dave Schmitt officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Mason. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
