Nancy Martin

Nancy L. Meeks Martin, 77, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant, WV.She was born November 9, 1940, in Cumberland, Maryland, the daughter of the late Darrel Messick and Bessie M. (Crawford) Messick.Nancy was a former nursing assistant at Holzer Medical Center and later worked for Hasley Construction Company as a machine operator. She attended various churches in the area.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty C. Meeks Errett; a special granddaughter, Tasha A. Meeks Sturgeon; and a great-grandson, David Alan Meeks.She is survived by two daughters, Sissy Meeks Davis and Bessie Meeks Rogers of Gallipolis Ferry; six grandchildren, Shawn Meeks, John Abrams, Samantha Abrams, Brett Rogers ,Martin Rogers Jr. and Joe Bowman; ten great-grandchildren, Leslee Meeks, Dante Rhodes, Kirsten Abrams, Alexis Abrams, Logan Abrams, Elizabeth Rogers and Nevaeh Rogers; and one great-great-granddaughter, Sophia Grace Willett. She is also survived by one sister, Freda Messick Meek of Columbus, OH; three sons-in-law, John Abrams, Martin Rogers and special son-in-law, Bobby Davis; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Joann Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry, WV.
