Murlin Elizabeth Hartley

Murlin E. Hartley, 86, of Point Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Point Pleasant. She was born September 8, 1929, in Rock Castle, WV, a daughter of the late Ray Hill and Belle (Stewart) Hill. Murlin was a homemaker, always there to help with family members, children and grandchildren. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Point Pleasant Chapter No. 75 Order of the Eastern Star. She had worked and managed Classic Video for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Hartley (Eisel) Holloway. She is survived by her husband, Art Ellis Hartley Sr., whom she married July 19, 1948; sons and daughters-in-law, Art Ellis Jr. and Janet (Stalnaker) Hartley, Vitus Ray Hartley, and Greg and Tina (Holland) Hartley all of Point Pleasant. Also surviving are grandchildren, Maribeth Eisel (Craig) Coon, Art Ellis III "Trace" (Nina Lusk) Hartley, Heather Lynn Hartley Holland, Brianne Hartley (Mark) Klone, Marlee Elizabeth Hartley, and Kaylee Rae Hartley; two great grandchildren, Joseph and Gage Holland; two sisters, Dottie (Ebby) Riffle of Leon and Mildred Jacobs of Bidwell, OH; and one brother, Donnie (Jean) Hill of Leon. A graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m., Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Creston Cemetery in Leon, with Rev. Jim Kelly officiating.
