Muriel Elaine Taylor

Muriel Elaine Taylor, 73, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant.

She was born February 15, 1950, in Terre Haute, IN, a daughter of the late Merrill D. and Gladys Elaine (Landis) Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Randy Colegrove, Bruce Mitchell and Monty Proffitt; and a nephew, Jonathan Williams.

Elaine was a graduate of Ravenswood High School, Class of 1968 and a retired licensed practical nurse from the office of Dr. Shrikant Vaidya.

She is survived by brothers and sisters, Rebecca Mitchell of Gallipolis Ferry, James (Betty) Williams of Roseville, OH, Michael (Sally) Williams of Harts, WV, Ruth Colegrove of Apple Grove, Alice Proffitt of Portland, OH, Mark (Cindy) Williams of Gallipolis Ferry and John Williams Wyant (RonnieWyant) of Wilmington, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Mark Williams and Pastor Jim Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Concord Cemetery in Henderson. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Tuesday, at the funeral home.
