Mildred Ethlyn White

Mildred Ethlyn White, 93, of Charleston, WV, passed January 22, 2012 at Abbyshire Nursing Home in Bidwell, Ohio. Born October 29, 1918, in Kanawha County, she was the oldest daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Means Goff. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Miller White, 76, son of the late Clyde and Anna White, born August 14, 1911, whose death was November 26, 1987. Mildred was also preceded in death by a daughter, Connie White Roy. She is survived by a daughter, Mona Kay White (David) Bush of Scott Depot; son-in-law, Kenneth Roy of St. Albans; seven grandchildren, Teena Roy (Mike) Wisecup, Jeffrey (Donna) Roy, Melanie Roy (Tony) Rude, and Chris (Charlesa) Roy all of St. Albans; Marc Bush of Vallejo, California, Melissa Bush (Rick) Connell of Morgantown, and Michael (Sarah) Bush of Hurricane; seventeen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren, one step great great grandchild; and two sisters, Macel (Earl) Smith of Charleston, and Dorothy Schultze of Cincinnati, Ohio. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012, from 1-3 p.m., at Scott Depot Christ Fellowship Church "The Depot", 4345 Teays Valley Road, Scott Depot, WV 25560. Ashes will be scattered at a later date with family members at the White Family Cemetery in Leading Creek, WV. In lieu of flowers, Mildred and the family request donations be made to Abbyshire Nursing Home, c/o Mona K. Bush, 264 Fraziers Way, Scott Depot, WV 25560. These donations will be used to purchase an uplifting work environment gift for the wonderful staff at Abbyshire. Wilcoxen Funeral Home of Point Pleasant will be serving the family.
