Michael James Thompson

Michael James Thompson, 39 of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Holzer Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born February 22, 1969 to John and Edna Thompson of Point Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Catalina (Pino) Roybal of Fruita, CO and John and Lena (Blankenship) Thompson of Holden, WV; a nephew, Andrew Scott Johnson of Henderson, WV; along with several aunts and uncles. Michael's life was an inspiration to his family and all who knew him. He will be forever in our hearts. He is survived, along with his parents, Karen and Robert Bonham of Winfield, WV; John and Denise Thompson of Sugar Grove, IL; Lisa and Alva Johnson of Henderson, WV; and Bryan and Tammy Thompson of Point Pleasant, WV. Nieces and nephews, Lindsay and James Stark of Winfield,WV; Travis, Cameron and Dustin Bonham of Winfield, WV; Melanie Thompson of Sugar Grove, IL; Leann and Richard Mays of El Paso, TX; Edward Johnson and Amanda Shuler of Henderson, WV; Jessica Thompson of Winfield, WV; Christopher Thompson and Lacey Stutler of Point Pleasant, WV. Great nieces, Payton Mays, Morgan Johnson and great nephew, Braylon Michael Thompson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Point Pleasant with Father Dave Schmitt officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens in Gallipolis, Ohio.
