Michael D. Diamond

Michael D. Diamond, 69, of Point Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at the Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center in Huntington. He was born November 8, 1948, in Louisa, KY, a son of the late DeWitt Talmadge Diamond Jr. and Barbara Ann (Riffe) Diamond. Mike was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, AMVETS and Wounded Warriors. He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a retired Ironworker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia L. Diamond; a son, Stephen Michael Diamond; and two brothers, Terry Lee Diamond and Johnny Diamond. He is survived by two daughters, Carrie Ann (Robert) Thompson of Louisville, KY and Michelle Denise (Jesse) Wolford of Smithfield, VA; six grandchildren, Matthew Ross, Megan Ashley, Andrea Noel, Madelyn Grace, Jessica Michelle and Shelby Elise; and two great-grandchildren, Liam Matthew and Aubree Marie. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, David (Ethel) Diamond, Danny Joe (Lucille) Diamond, Bobbi Ann (Henry) McCoy, Paul Franklin (Anne) Diamond, Sam (Teresa) Diamond, Sharon Kay (Steve) Cunningham, Shannon Diamond, Diane (Charles) Whitt and Mary Lou McCaleb. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant. Burial will be in the Diamond Family Cemetery in Louisa, KY.
