Maxine Glendal Williamson

Maxine Glendal Williamson, 90, of Southside, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at home with her family by her side. She was born December 17, 1925, in Pliny, a daughter of the late Walter Wears and Truba Tracy (Weatherholt) Wears. Maxine was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Southside. She was active in the community with the Mason County 4-H, Homemakers Club and the church mission circle. But her love and passion was working on the family farm with the dairy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Torres A. Williamson; a granddaughter, Terri Lynn Williamson; one sister, Catherine Sayre; and a brother, Walter Wears Jr. She is survived by her children, Wayne (Glenna) Williamson of Southside, Sonya (Mike) Roach of Point Pleasant, Mary (Gary) Davis of Mansfield, OH, Danny (Susan) Williamson of Point Pleasant, Sam (Janet) Williamson of Southside, Carla (Petru) Tutuian of Southside, and Victor (Penny) Williamson of Southside; two sisters, Shirley (Don) Dill of Piqua, OH and Lenora Dill of Troy, OH; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be 3 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016, at Harmony Baptist Church in Southside, with Rev. Fred McCallister and Rev. David Radcliff officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Southside. Visitation will be from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Sunday at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
