Maxine Louise Antal

Maxine L. Antal, 91, of Southside, formerly of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, at Holzer Medical Center, in Gallipolis, OH. She was born October 25, 1924, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Henry Allen Anthony and Ona Belle (Neal) Anthony. Maxine attended Bellemead United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant and was the former owner of the Credit Bureau of Point Pleasant. She was a life member of Camp Conley CEOS and was an avid golfer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Antal; one son, Andrew Mark Antal; two sisters, Mary Jane Wheeler and Jean L. Anthony; and two brothers, Charles Henry Anthony and Lewis Allen Anthony. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. Jr. and Sharon Antal of Southside; one step-grandson, Shawn (Amy) Donohue of Point Pleasant; two step-great-grandchildren, Braxton and Brogan Donohue of Point Pleasant; and two sisters, Elsie Dunkle of Point Pleasant and Pamela (Pete) Catlin of Durham, NC. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Chip Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Friday at the funeral home.
