Mary F. Wilcoxen, 92, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was born October 29, 1929, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Walter O. Eads Sr. and Cora Mae (Bennett) Eads. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loraine L. Wilcoxen; a daughter, Anna Morris; grandson, Reed McKinney; sister, Mable Plants; and a brother, Walter O. Eads Jr. Mary and her husband "Wilkie" established the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant in 1969.In addition to her family and church the funeral home was her life.She was a hard working, caring and giving person who always made you feel loved when you were at "her" funeral home. Mary was a member of Heights United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, Christian Friendship Class, Choir and had taught Sunday School Class for many years.She was also a member of the Point Pleasant Womens Club, Jolly Dozen Club and a Point Pleasant High School graduate with the Class of 1948. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Winona and Roger McKinney of Point Pleasant, Barbara Casto of Greenville, SC, Tina and Barry Barnette of Spartanburg, SC and David Morris of Carterville, IL; grandchildren, Brandi (Andy) Casto-Waters, Monica (David) Thomas, Tianna (Matt) Storey, Nick (Heather) McKinney, Emily (Chris) Huff, Ben Barnette and Kelsey Barnette; great-grandchildren, Ella, Lucy, Maddie, Sophie, Bella, Javi, Olivia, Mateo and Conner; sister-in-law, Dottie Eads; and her bonus son, Richard Green. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Dr. Brandi Casto-Waters officiating.A private family burial will follow at the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers for those considering an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heights United Methodist Church, 2016 North Main Street, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
