Mary Gerlach Spencer

Mary Gerlach Spencer passed peacefully from this life on September 23, 2022, at Holzer Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Point Pleasant, WV, on November 26, 1952, to the late Lawrence Roy Gerlach Jr. and Mabel Gibbs Gerlach Jamison. Mary was retired from the City of Point Pleasant where she served as manager of the Krodel Park Campground.She made many friends as she loved to joke and tease the campers.She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1970.She was also a graduate of Marshall University. She is survived by her siblings, Carol (Gene) Goff of Nashville, TN, Linda Goff of Margate, FL and John (Carolyn) Gerlach of Point Pleasant.Mary loved her nephews and nieces and thought of them as her own children, Dr. Eric (Sally) Goff of Forest, VA, Jeff (Staci) Goff of Nashville, TN, Erin (Bob) Calano of Coconut Creek, FL, Jay (Amanda) Gerlach of Arden, NC, Jarrett (Jennifer) Gerlach of Huntington, WV and Katie (Derek) Jones of Ashland, KY.She has six great nephews and 11 great nieces.Mary was very loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her family wishes to thank the Staff at Holzer Hospital and Pleasant Valley Hospital for their care and compassion in caring for Mary.Also, their heartfelt appreciation to the Staff of the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their constant care and compassion showed to Mary. There will be no visitation and a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.Arrangements are under the care of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
