Mary Elizabeth Smith

Mary Elizabeth Smith, 86, of Proctorville, Ohio, formerly of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at home.She was born November 12, 1931, in Gallipolis Ferry, a daughter of the late Herbert L. Maynard and Roberta T. (Cassell) Maynard.Mary was a homemaker and member of Wyoma Pentecostal Church at Gallipolis Ferry.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Smith; two sons, Raymond Gary Smith and Larry Dale Smith; two sisters; and three brothers.She is survived by two daughters, Darlene Canterbury of Point Pleasant and Linda (Danny) Scarberry of Proctorville; daughter-in-law, Joyce Pennington of Huntington, WV; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Mark Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Beale Cemetery in Apple Grove, WV.
