Mary Lou Queen

Mary Lou Queen, 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at home.

She was born October 17, 1934, in Milton, WV, a daughter of the late Claudie Evert Collins and Havanah Jewell (Harbour) Collins Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen F. Queen Jr.; son, Brent A. Queen; and a sister, Jerry Ashworth.

Mary Lou was a member of Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry.  She was a graduate of Milton High School and a retired clerk from K Mart with 24 years' service.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa L. and Steve Fitch of Long Bottom, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Harry L. and Shawn Queen of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Jermyn (Jessica) Queen, Anthony (Holley) Fowler, Karrie Peck (Adam Bonecutter); Harry Lee Jr. (Courtney) Queen, Havanah "Gracie" Queen, Austi (Hunter) Roush and Brett (Emily) Sergent. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Kyla Queen, Carter Queen, Heidi Queen, Catherine Queen, Hudson Queen, Charlee Queen, Alex Gibbs, McKayla Gibbs, Kennedy Bariad, Charlie Graham Fowler, Brody Ray Allen Peck, Bristol LaShe Peck, Beau Mathis Bonecutter, Willa Roush, Harper Sergent and Joy Rylee Fitch; nieces, Sandy (Ron) Weddington of Scott Depot, WV and Cindy (Delmar) Stanley of Milton; and special caregivers, Kaitlyn Smith and Yvonne Rayburn.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Joe Nott officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park in Milton.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service Friday at the funeral home.
