Mary M. Vickers, 91, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord Monday, November 6, 2017, at the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 14, 1926, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Virgil W. Lutton and Edna I. (Cheesebrew) Lutton. Mary was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1944, a member of Mason County C.E.O.S. and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence M. Vickers; sons, Jeffrey L. Vickers and Ronald J. Vickers; and a grandson, John Scott Vickers. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, John V. and Rosemary Vickers of Apple Grove and Clark M. and Carolyn Vickers of Gallipolis, OH; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Doug Hendrixson officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Thursday at the church.
