Mary Harper

Mary Harper, 64, of Gallipolis Ferry, died Monday, July 16, 2018, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born May 9, 1954, a daughter of the late Charles William Leach and Phyllis Jean (Dunlap) Leach. Mary was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Herbert "Herbie" Myers and Keith David Harper; a sister, Brenda K. Rainey; one brother, Sheldon Leach; and her fur baby Flash beagle. Mary is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Chris) Neal of Bidwell, Ohio; two grandchildren, Jaden and Brycen Neal of Bidwell; two brothers, Worthy (Donna) Leach and Frankie Leach of Point Pleasant; three sisters, Pam (Everett) Rayburn; Kathy (David) Selby and Sandy Sayre all of Point Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. Mary fought so hard to live but now she is pain free. The family would like to give a special thanks to her neighbor Kelsey Henry for all of his help and Rupert Rice for keeping her yard mowed. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Kelsey Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Jordan Baptist Church Cemetery at Gallipolis Ferry, WV. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
