Mary Katherine Gibbs

Mary Katherine (Smith) Gibbs, 66, of Point Pleasant, died Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Holzer Senior Care. She was born April 22, 1944 in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late William Lewis Smith and Sylvia Violet (Gleason) Smith. Mary Katherine graduated from Point Pleasant High School and was a retired school bus driver from Central Dauphin School District in Harrisburg, PA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Wayne Gibbs; one brother, William Lewis "Bill" Smith Jr., and a brother-in-law, Hobart Dewees Jr. She is survived by one sister, Janette "Jean" Louise (Smith) Dewees of Point Pleasant; three nieces, Lois (Ike) Scherer of Point Pleasant, Vickie (Darin) Walker of Point Pleasant, and Rebecca (Greg) Crowne of Gainesville, VA; two nephews, David (Darlene) Dewees of Point Pleasant, and Rodney Smith of Washington, D.C.; a sister-in-law, Dorothy "Dot" Smith of Virginia; special friends, Shirley Elfrank and Mike and Irene Mills of Harrisburg, PA; and several great and great great nieces and nephews.
