Mary G. Bias

Mary G. Bias, 77, of Ashton, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at home.

She was born December 23, 1945, in Ashton, a daughter of the late Ernest C. Waugh and Lucille Dorthy (Blake) Waugh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Robinson, Francis Lawrence and Dolly "Dank" Waugh; and brothers, Charles D. "Charlie Bill" and Delbert C. "Dick" Waugh.

Mary was a member of Balls Chapel Church, where she taught Sunday School and was very involved in the church.  She was a graduate of Hannan High School Class of 1965, was a breast cancer survivor and retired from M & G Polymers, formerly Goodyear and Shell.  Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her church family. Her friends and family were everything to her.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry L. Bias of Ashton; daughters, Tracey Bias (Jack) Reynolds of Barboursville, WV and Jodie Bias (Michael) Walker of Ona, WV; grandchildren, Taylor (Tori) Reynolds, Jackson (Ali Weatherholt) Reynolds, McKeon (Kyra Wickline) Reynolds, Kolbey Walker and Jamison Walker.  She is also survived by a sister, Lula Waugh of Ashton; a brother, Don Waugh of Ashton; a very special niece and namesake, Mary Ann (Jimmy) Bonecutter; special great niece and nephews, Isaiah Bonecutter, Jenna Bonecutter and James Bonecutter.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Balls Chapel Church in Ashton, with Pastor Darren Ellis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Balls Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
