Mary Agness (Rayburn) Beckner

Mary Agness (Rayburn) Beckner, 75, of Point Pleasant, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died Friday, October 5, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She was born December 27, 1936 in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Everett Rayburn Sr. and Edith E. (McCarty) Rayburn. Mary was a homemaker and member of the Henderson Tabernacle Church in Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Walker; brother-in-law, Jim Hargraves; one niece, Angela Lynn Walker; and great nephew, Ryan Beckner. Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Lee Beckner of Point Pleasant; two daughters, Sandra L. (Tim) Mullins of Point Pleasant and Brenda Browning of Point Pleasant; three grandchildren, Robert Wayne Lee Browning, Richard Wayne Lee Browning, and Mary Morghan Mullins; two great grandchildren; five sisters, Delores J. (Frank) Beckner of Point Pleasant, Sharon Hargraves of Point Pleasant, Marlene (Sonny) Reynolds of Point Pleasant, Sally (Roger) Taylor of Letart, and Dianne (Terry) Wallis of Gallipolis Ferry; and two brothers, Everett (Pam) Rayburn Jr. of Point Pleasant and Donald "Sammy" (Lana) Rayburn of Point Pleasant. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Evangelist J.R. Holsinger and Pastor Bill Sonny Mayes officiating.
