Mary (Daylong) Voiers Barrett, 91, of Gallipolis Ferry died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. She was a homemaker, seamstress, and member of the Calvary Pilgrim Chapel. Mary was born September 4, 1916 in Gallipolis Ferry to the late Robert W. and Catherine S. (Riffle) Daylong. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Jackson Voiers, and second husband, Robert Barrett; two sons, Thomas Voiers and George Voiers; two sisters, Regina Slivinski and Tressie Carver; and three brothers, George A. Daylong, Edward Daylong, and Worthy Daylong. She will be greatly missed by her two sons, Russell Voiers and wife Norma of Millwood, and Shirley Voiers and wife Dorothy of Gallipolis Ferry; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three stepdaughters; one stepson; eight step-grandchildren; fifteen step-great-grandchildren; three foster daughters; and three foster grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Charles McKenzie and Rev. Amos Tillis officiating. Burial will follow at the Concord Cemetery in Henderson. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Dr. Nancy Lares and staff, and the wonderful caregivers at the Pleasant Valley Rehabilitation Center for the attention given to our mother.
