Marsha Furman

Marsha Arrington Furman, 60, of Castle Hayne, North Carolina formerly of Apple Grove, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was a homemaker and salesperson for Avon. She loved the beach, dancing and her puppies. Marsha was born May 22, 1948 in Apple Grove, WV to the late Elton E. Arrington and Lorena Mae (Watterson) Arrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Glen Arrington. Surviving are her husband, Gerald Furman of Castle Hayne, NC, whom she married November 25, 2000; two step daughters, Beverly McMillan (Todd) of Vanceboro, North Carolina and Lisa Pennypacker (Jonathan) of Winterville, North Carolina; five step-grandchildren along with several cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 26 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home, with the Rev. Sanders Rulen officiating. Burial will follow in the Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Hunter Crouch, Wayne Nash, Clyde Bowen and Bob Baird.
