Marjorie Frances Stover, 90, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. She was born May 7, 1931, in Apple Grove, a daughter of the late Charles Conard and Nettie Evelyn (Mayes) Conard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harold Dean Stover; three sisters, Zelma Burris, Juanita Dunn and Reta Plants; and a grandson, Charles Dewayne McCallister. Marjorie was a retired cook from Sunnyside Elementary School with 29 yrs. service. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Earnest and Connie McCallister of Apple Grove and Michael Wayne and Ledvada McCallister of Gallipolis Ferry; grandchildren, Chad McCallister of Apple Grove, Eric McCallister of Gallipolis Ferry and Melanie Potts of Point Pleasant; and great-grandchildren, Aaron (Saint) McCallister, Devin McCallister, Cole Potts and Caiden Potts. The family would like to give a thank you to special friends Richie and Lisa Hughes and the staff of the Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 8, 2021, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Minister Cathy Searls officiating.Burial will follow at the Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Sunday at the funeral home.
