Mariessa Kelly Arthur

Mariessa Kelly Arthur, 51, of Leon, passed away suddenly at her home Monday, June 14, 2021. Kelly was born August 9, 1969, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of Barbara (Barnette) Roush and the late Donald E. Roush. In addition to her father, Kelly was preceded in death by her brother, John Roush; paternal grandparents, Opal Roush and John Clonch; maternal grandparents, Willard and Myrtle Barnette; and father-in-law, Richard Allen Arthur. Kelly was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1987 and had attended South Eastern Business College. Kelly is survived by her husband, Everett Arthur; mother, Barbara Roush; a son, Dustin (Linda) Taylor; daughter, Peyton Donohue; grandchildren, Cael Taylor; and the light of her life Kennisyn Gardner.She is also survived by two brothers, Donnie Roush and Tim Roush; mother-in-law, Louann Arthur; nephew, Cody Cline; nieces, Tiffany (Scottie) Legg, Heather (Rusty) Webster and Kendrah Arthur; great nephew, Landon Legg; great nieces, Lily Webster, Ava Webster and Paislee Legg; special cousins, Mark and Rylee Roush; special sisters-in-law, Julia Roush, Lisa Wroten and Anita Hoffman; and cousins, Shirley Birchfield, Connie Huffman, Donna Ogier, Jeff Likens, Tammy Riffle, Lisa King, Joyce Dugan, Eric Roush, Janet Sue West, Eddie Barnette, Eric Barnette, Gary Hall, Jerry Hall, James Barnette Jr., and Melissa Arbogast. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Chris Thomas officiating.Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Leon.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
