Margie Gay White

Margie Gay (Slayton) White, 89, of Point Pleasant, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Arbors of Gallipolis, Gallipolis, OH.She was born November 15, 1928, in Ward, WV, a daughter of the late Carl S. Slayton and Esta (Agnor) Slayton. Margie was a homemaker and attended Krebs Chapel Church in Point Pleasant.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville R. White; a daughter, Carolyn S. Winters; brother, Marshall Slayton; and several half brothers and half sisters.Margie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Shelby Davis of Letart, WV; grandchildren, Katie Davis, Joshua A. Davis, Jennifer Akers, Steven Winters, and Carrie Canterbury-Ferrell; seven great-grandchildren; and half sister, Irene Durst of Leon, WV.A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor John Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Monday at the funeral home.
