Margaret Jo Yoder Akers

Margaret Jo Yoder Akers, 44, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at home. She was born February 15, 1977, in Gallipolis, OH, a daughter of the late Paul E. Yoder and Jo Kathleen "Kitty" (Bray) Yoder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul E. Yoder II; and one sister, Sabrina Dawn Yoder. Margaret Jo was a former employee of AEP River Division, Lakin, WV and a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and Marshall University. She is survived by a nephew, Joseph Paul Yoder of Henderson; aunts, Mary Lynn "Auntie B" Bechtle of Henderson, Isabelle Yoder of Point Pleasant, Louise (Thomas) Rumbaugh of Hurricane, WV and Mary Catherine Fisher of Sun City Center, FL. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Justin Moran officiating.Burial will follow at the Concord Cemetery in Henderson.The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Tuesday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concord Baptist Cemetery Fund, 342 Jim Hill Road, Henderson, WV 25106 Condolences may be expressed to the family and memories may be shared by visiting www.wilcoxenfuneralhome.com.
