Margaret Lavern Thomas

Margaret Lavern (Sneed) Thomas, passed away on September 7, 2022, at home with her family around her.Margaret was born in Kingston, WV in 1933 to parents, Delbert and Sytha Sneed. During her life she was employed by Oak Hill Hospital, Pleasant Valley Hospital and Peoples Bank. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward W. Thomas.They were high school sweethearts and were married for 65 years. Margaret was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Point Pleasant.For years, Margaret and her husband did many outreach programs in her church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kitti and Jack Kaylor of West Columbia, WV; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Teddy Thomas of Point Pleasant, WV; daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Mark Huffman of Point Pleasant, WV.She is also survived by a brother, Alexander (Mary Alice) Sneed of Wilmington, NC; two sisters, Becky MacMillan of Point Pleasant, WV and Shirley Davidson of Cornelius, NC.She has eight grandchildren, Denny Casto, Parry Casto, Jonathan Casto, Nicki Barnette, Marianne Parsons, Soni Roush, Stevie Thomas and Culley Thomas.In addition, Margaret is survived by 14 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at noon Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Point Pleasant, with Rev. Father Pen H.G.N. officiating.A family burial ceremony will take place at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV.
