Mable I. Shuler

Mable I. Shuler, 93, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. She was born March 25, 1914 in Jeffersonville, Ohio to the late Charles and Gertrude (Wears) Duncan. Mable was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Shuler, Sr.; a son, Clayton Shuler, Jr., a great granddaughter, Lisa Nibert; two grandsons, David Lee Martin and Bradley Owen Baird; and three brothers, Paul Duncan; Leo Duncan; and Raymond Duncan; and a son-in-law, Willard Martin. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Kerr Baird of Gallipolis Ferry; Betty Jo and Richard Lee Nibert of Gallipolis Ferry; and Helen Martin of Gallipolis Ferry; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles Lee and Ima Jean Hines of Washington Court House, Ohio; and one brother, Leonard Duncan of Washington Court House, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Isaiah Crump and Rev. Leslie Keyser officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Gallipolis Ferry. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
