After a lengthy illness, Lester (Loyd) McGraw, 75, of Gallipolis Ferry, peacefully passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016, at home and went to be with his Lord. He was born December 7, 1940, in Hogsett, WV, a son of the late Loyd McGraw and Viola (Keefer) McGraw. Lester was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Bidwell, OH, a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1960 and retired from Goodyear in Apple Grove. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, and a sister, Twila Watkins. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Arminta (Caudill) McGraw of Gallipolis Ferry; daughters, Cami McGraw of Madrid, Spain and Valarie (Mark) Pyles of Fairborn, OH; two granddaughters, Lauren Pyles of Fairborn and Leslie (Jeremy) Ball of Hurricane; one sister, Patty (Duckie) Darst of Troy, OH; a sister-in-law, Gloria (Jim) Hatten of Gallipolis Ferry; as well as cousins, nephews, nieces and neighbors who loved him very much. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Jim Lusher and Pastor Mark Pyles officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
