Louis Leroy Durst

Louis Leroy Durst, 82, of Point Pleasant, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Veterans Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Louis was an operator for the Marietta Plant in Point Pleasant. He was a member of the American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant for more than 50 years. Louis was born February 14, 1924 in Point Pleasant, WV to the late Wallie Jones Durst and Eulah (Cheesebrew) Durst. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Lucille Durst and Helen Patterson; one brother, John Durst and special friend, Lora Mae Reynolds. Surviving are two nephews, Chris L. Durst of New Concord, OH and Shirber Patterson of Cambridge, OH along with several cousins. Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Ringle officiating. Burial will follow in the Lone Oak Cemetery in Point Pleasant. Visitation will be Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant.
