Loretta M. Wamsley, 81 of Point Pleasant, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2010. She was born July 27, 1928 in Buffalo, WV, a daughter of the late Marion F. and Myrtle E. (Cornell) Thomas. Loretta was a loving and devoted mother and had been employed by several local businesses during her lifetime. She was a member of the Davies Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randall O. Wamsley; one son, Dale F. Wamsley; a grandson, Chad Rollins; and great grandchildren, Brandon Baum, Ethan Slone, and Sara and Samuel Rice; one sister, Marietta Carr and one brother, Bobby Joe Thomas. Surviving are two sons, Randall D. (Sharon) Wamsley, Timothy J. (Linda) Wamsley; and four daughters, Juanita (Jay) Sheridan, Mareia Margaret (Keith) Hill, Shelia (Paul) Rollins, Cynthia Kay (Nicholas) Bostick; and daughter-in-law, Karen Wamsley Donnally. Thirteen grandchildren, Jonna (Olin) Rice, Douglas Wamsley, Jami (Travis) Wise, Darin (Sherry) Bostic, Martha (Chris) Burnup, Brian (Karen) Wamsley, Lea (Homer) Bonecutter, Mia (Jon) Slone, David Rollins, Nicholas Rollins, Aaron (Melissa) Wamsley, Alisha (Donnie) Cunningham, Jessica (Chris) Stephens; she was also blessed with 30 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. Also, surviving are two sisters, Betty Williams and Anna M. Hall; and two brothers, Charles Thomas and William C. Thomas. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Hammack officiating. Burial will follow at the Pisgah Cemetery at Gallipolis Ferry. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Davies Grove Church, c/o Lisa Staats, 12359 Ripley Road, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.
