Lois Louise Pyles, 84, of Gallipolis Ferry, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the home of her daughter in New Haven, WV. She was born September 26, 1928, in Gallipolis Ferry, a daughter of the late George Dewey Nibert Sr. and Bessie Belle (Burns) Nibert. Lois was a retired bookkeeper from Citizens National Bank with twenty years of service and went on to work at Pleasant Valley Hospital as a Ward Clerk. She then went to work at Fruth Pharmacy and retired with ten years of service. With the desire to continue on, she became a volunteer with the Pleasant Valley Hospital Auxiliary with nine years of service. Lois was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Point Pleasant and a graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1946. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Max Nibert and George Dewey Nibert Jr. Lois is survived by her husband of fifty six years, Jack Lewis Pyles of Gallipolis Ferry; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and John Bumgarner of New Haven, and Jacquie and Steve Roush of Point Pleasant; six grandchildren, Bethany Shay Slinde, Andrew (Donna) Dennis, Chelsea Brooke (Ryan) Roush, Abram Dennis, Derek Roush and Matthew Roush; two great-grandchildren, Tyler David Dennis and Draeson Channing Roush; one sister, Delores (Warren) Anderson of Tallahassee, FL; and one brother, John William Nibert of Point Pleasant. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Scott Knowlton and Rev. Charles Marker officiating.
