Linda Lou Walker

Linda L. Walker, 78, of Point Pleasant, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, December 3, 2017, at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, OH.She was born November 2, 1939, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late George E. Thompson and Alice F. (Rainey) Thompson.Linda was a member of Bellemead United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant. She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1957, was a former employee of G. C. Murphy in Point Pleasant and a homemaker.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles W. Thompson.She is survived by her husband, Garland Walker of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Gayla (Chris) Hammack of Point Pleasant; one son, Darin (Vickie Lynn) Walker of Point Pleasant; four granddaughters, Kristen (Donnie) Leport of Henderson, Nicole Leport of Point Pleasant, Tori Beth Walker of Point Pleasant and Darrian Walker of Point Pleasant; and three great-grandchildren, Kat and Ella Leport and Cain Nott. She is also survived by a sister, Nancy Fielder of Chapmanville, WV; one brother, Jim (Barb) Thompson of Minerva, OH; sister-in-law, Anna Jean Thompson of Point Pleasant; and brother-in-law, Otis Walker of Henderson.A graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Forest Hills Cemetery in Letart, WV, with Pastor Chip Bennett officiating.
