Linda C. Nibert

January 6, 1949 — August 16, 2017

Linda C. Nibert, 68, of Gallipolis Ferry, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Pleasant Valley Hospital. She was born January 6, 1949, in Gallipolis, OH, a daughter of Garland Arrington of Gallipolis Ferry and the late Jackie Arrington. Linda attended Ashton Baptist Church and was a member of the church choir. She was employed at the Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High School where she earned the title of "School Mom", due to her motherly care of not only the students but also her friends and fellow employees. Linda was a great wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She truly loved her girls and especially her grandchildren. She was always supporting them by going to all of their games and activities. She was as fair as anyone when it came to "Christmas gifts" as she spent the exact same amount to the penny on each grandchild. You didn't have to ask as she would tell you! She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Bobby Nibert of Gallipolis Ferry. She was the wonderful mother of two daughters, Mindy Richards and husband Shawn of Parkersburg and Kary Barton and husband Mike of Point Pleasant. She was the grandmother of five, Dylan and Maggie Richards and Isabella, Grant and Eva Barton. Linda had two brothers, Davey and Mike Arrington; and one sister, Jenny Taylor. She was loved and adored by many, many, close friends at work, church and throughout the community. There are several friends that she would want mentioned that really helped her and her family through this very difficult time. You know who you are and may God Bless you for your love and compassion. Linda will truly be missed by Bobby, Mindy and Kary. We Love You Mom and will be eternally grateful for your devotion and love. A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2017, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Brian May officiating. Burial will follow at the Apple Grove Memorial Gardens in Apple Grove. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
