Lewis Everett Wedge, 85, of Point Pleasant died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. Everett was a graduate of Cottageville High School class of 1941, a U. S. Army veteran, was co-owner and operator of Wedge Construction and Apartments, and a member of the Moose Lodge of Point Pleasant. He was an old time fiddler, a pilot and enjoyed hunting. He was born February 16, 1923 in Leon, WV to the late John Lewis Wedge and Lucy Jane (Smith) Wedge. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, John Wedge, Jr.; Elvin E. "Pete" Wedge; and an infant brother. Surviving are his wife, Alpha Louise (Keefer) Wedge of Point Pleasant; a daughter, Connie Sue Wedge Rhea and fiance James "Buck" Loomis of Point Pleasant; a son and daughter-in-law, Randall Lewis and Vickie Wedge of Point Pleasant; and two grandchildren, Jonathon Dean Rhea and Jaden Paige Rhea of Point Pleasant; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Wedge of Point Pleasant, and Frances Wedge of Mason, WV; two nieces, Krista Rollins of Leon and Leisa Perry of Middleport, Ohio. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2008 at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Gerald Sayre officiating. Burial will follow in the Creston Cemetery at Leon, WV. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
