Lewis Edward Spires

Lewis E. Spires, 86, of Southside, WV, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant. He was born February 13, 1926 in Jackson, Ohio, a son of the late Wesley and Jenny Spires. Lewis was a farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Lewis is survived by his wife, Wilma (Hurlow) Spires of Southside; two sons and daughter-in-law, Leemon and Mary Spires of Southside, and Lewis Randall Spires of Southside; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gary Hoffman of Point Pleasant; three sisters; three brothers; two grandchildren, Jamey (Aimee) Spires, and Linda (Anthony) DeVault; and six great grandchildren, Noah and Hunter Spires, Kaylee Lyons, and Cody, Cary, and Terry DeVault. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Rev. Fred McCallister officiating.
