Lewis "Buzz" William Faudree

Lewis (Buzz) William Faudree, 81, of Bidwell, OH, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, at the Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, OH.

He was born February 7, 1941, in Henderson, WV, son of the late Lewis Marion Faudree and Celestine Opal (Arrington) Faudree.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Erin Faudree.

Lewis was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church of Gallipolis, OH.  He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1959 and later completed barber school.  Lewis served his country in the United States Army National Guard and retired from Ironworkers Local 787 of Parkersburg, WV.  His memberships included the Carpenters Union, American Legion, Masonic Lodge and the Shriners Club. Lewis was a volunteer at Holzer Medical Center and he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, being outside, golfing, and visiting with friends.

He is survived by his children, Lewis Franklin (Alecia) Faudree of Rio Grande, OH, Cheryl Lynn Clark of Longview, TX and Cody Ranee (William) Boone of Hampstead, NC; three sisters, Marcella (Tom) Nutter of Virginia Beach, VA, Sitty Henry of New Haven, WV and Betsy Gilkenson of Lexington, SC. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Mark "Moose" Clark, Frank (Kristen) Faudree, Courtney (Mike) Puppe, Gretchen (Jamie) Ehman, Alex (Patrick Mulholand) Clark, Jackson Boone, Grayson Boone and Addison Boone; ten great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Anthony, Olivia, Katie, Bailey, Easton, Emma, Sophie, Maverick and Gabriella; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Patty Davis of Gallipolis, OH.

There will be no public services.  A private family burial will be held at Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant.
