Lewis Ansel Allen

Lewis Ansel Allen, 90, of Point Pleasant, passed away Friday, August 5, 2016, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant. He was born October 7, 1925, in Newton, WV, a son of the late James Simpson Allen and Bertha Hester (Wilson) Allen. Lewis was a member of the Sand Hill Road Church of Christ in Point Pleasant. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during World War II and was a retired maintenance supervisor from Stauffer Chemical. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gretta Marie (Browning) Allen; one sister; and seven brothers. He is survived by his son, Michael Lewis (Nicki) Allen of Chesapeake, OH; one daughter, Cathy Lee (Luther Broome) Allen of Twentynine Palms, CA; a grandson, Neil Allen; and one great-grandson, Wade Allen. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Sand Hill Road Church of Christ in Point Pleasant, with Minister Pete Allinder officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
