Larry Eugene Rainey

Larry E. "Buck" Rainey, 71, of Gallipolis Ferry, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at home.He was born June 24, 1946, in Gallipolis Ferry, a son of the late Harvey Ray Rainey and Alice Margaret (Yester) Rainey.Larry was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Point Pleasant. He was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and retired construction worker and member of Laborers Local Union 543 of Huntington.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Corey Michael Rainey; and two brothers, Kenneth and Frank Rainey.Larry is survived by his wife, Brenda Kay (Leach) Rainey of Gallipolis Ferry; three daughters, Sarah Ann (Jesse) Stanley of Point Pleasant, Patty Kay (Tim) Wolfe of North Carolina and Margie Jean (Glen) Stover of Georgia; six grandchildren, Jessica Stanley, Breanna Stanley, Stefan (Kaitlin) Wolfe, Derek (Lillie) Wolfe, Lindsay Wolfe and Kymberley Stover; and one great-grandson, Raylan Stover. He is also survived by one sister, Freda (Lester) Mount of Bidwell, OH; two brothers, Raymond Rainey of Rio Grande, OH and Tommy Rainey of Milton, WV; and several nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at the Gospel Lighthouse Church with Pastor Mark Polley officiating. Burial will follow at Jordan Baptist Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry.
