Larry Ray Ogier Jr.

Larry Ray Ogier Jr., 62, of Point Pleasant, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, WV. He was born May 15, 1957, in Point Pleasant, a son of the late Larry R. Ogier Sr. and Peggy Joan (Price) Duncan of Point Pleasant. Larry was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 1975 and served in the United States Marine Corps. He had worked for Ohio River Company, was a truck driver for several companies and a carpenter. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Ray Ogier. He is survived by his wife, Donna L. (Likens) Ogier of Point Pleasant; mother, Peggy J. Duncan; five children, Adam Beard of Huntington, Rebecca Hill of Huntington, Scott Watson of Point Pleasant, Jacob Ogier of Point Pleasant and Chloe Ogier of Point Pleasant; and five grandchildren, Jeremiah Tre' Ogier, Abby Siders, Ally Siders, Zayden Winston and Maislyn Hill. He is also survived by sisters, Paula (George Lawrence) Fisher of Long Bottom, OH and Teresa Duncan of Pompano Beach, FL; and a brother, David (Kim) Duncan of Point Pleasant. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Joe Nott officiating. Burial will follow at Henderson Cemetery in Henderson. Military graveside rites will be given by the Marine Honor Guard and American Legion Post 23 of Point Pleasant. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Thursday at the funeral home.
