Kathy Colleen Selby

Kathy C. Selby, 66, of Point Pleasant, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV.

She was born November 4, 1956, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Charles William Leach and Phyllis Jean (Dunlap) Leach.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Brenda Rainey and Mary Harper; and a brother, Sheldon Leach.

Kathy was a very special and strong lady who cared and nurtured everyone and loved her grandchildren dearly. She was formerly a nurse's aide at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center.

She is survived by her husband, David J. Selby of Point Pleasant; daughter, Kathie Jo Allensworth of West Columbia; four grandchildren, Tanisha Armstrong, Jordan Armstrong, Jerah Bennett and Maggie Bennett all of Point Pleasant; five great-grandchildren, Amari "Big", Laniyah "Grace – Minnie Mouse", Breshaun, Kensley and Kylah; three sisters, Pam (Everett) Rayburn of Point Pleasant, Sandra Sayre of Point Pleasant and Stephanie (Chris) Neal of Bidwell, OH; and two brothers, Worthy (Donna) Leach of Point Pleasant and Frankie Leach of New Haven.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Sunday at the funeral home.
