Kathern Elizabeth Meadows

Kathern Elizabeth Meadows, 96, of Point Pleasant, died Friday, June 8, 2018, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Point Pleasant, WV. She was born September 28, 1921, in Point Pleasant, the daughter of the late George William Tillis and Helen Elizabeth (Knapp) Tillis. Kathern was a homemaker, member of Heights United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant and a graduate of Point Pleasant High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Basil Meadows; one son, Roger "Bo" Meadows; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert Tillis Sr. and wife Vivian; one sister, Bernice Krebs; and a nephew, Robert Tillis Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" Bonecutter and husband Keith of Point Pleasant and Jane Meadows of Point Pleasant; a son, James K. Shell and wife Sandra of New Haven; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A graveside service and burial will be 1 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Charles Marker officiating.
