Kara Mae Combs

Kara Mae Combs, 27, of Milton, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 at her home. She was born September 4, 1995, in Cincinnati, OH, a daughter of the late Tommy Ray Combs Sr. and Joy Michelle (Achter) Combs. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Clayton and Lila Combs; and maternal grandparents, Jerry and LaVonda Achter. Kara was a graduate of Hannan High School Class of 2014 and attended Franklin County High School in Brooksville, IN prior to moving to West Virginia. She was a very genuine and loyal person that enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom. Kara loved when her daddy would play his guitar and they would sing Victory in Jesus. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Fraziers Bottom. She is survived by her mother, Joy Michelle Combs of Milton; two daughters, Hazelynn Mae DeWitt of Milton and Kamella Michelle DeWitt of Cincinnati, OH; siblings, Tommy Ray Jr. (Dannielle) Combs of Bright, IN, Laurie Dawn (Steve) Kohl of Nicholasville, KY, Tonya Renee Combs of Cincinnati, OH, Sarah Lynn (Jake Leibrock) Combs of Milton, Matthew Clayton Combs of Brookville, IN, Andrew Landon Amburgy of Milton and Adam Matthew (Ashley) Amburgy of Cincinnati, OH. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; special friends, Michaela Drummond and Cody Pearson; and a host of childhood friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Roy VanWinkle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday at the funeral home.
