Kacee Amber Rainey

Kacee Amber Rainey, 34, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. She was born April 14, 1987, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Stephen S. Rainey and B. Colleen (Baird) Rainey of Gallipolis Ferry. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Jamie Rainey and his wife, Angelica; maternal grandparents, Randall and Cora Baird; and paternal grandparents, Earnest "Jake" Rainey and Teddy Rainey. Kacee was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School Class of 2005 and Marshall University where she received her degree as a child care worker. She was employed by the Mason County Board of Education, working at the New Haven Elementary School. Kacee was also employed at Walmart of Gallipolis, OH, as a cashier. Kacee was a hard worker and enjoyed her job, especially at New Haven Elementary where she took care of a special boy, Bentely, whom she loved and cherished as her own. She is survived by her mother, B. Colleen Rainey and her special niece, Jasmine McKenize Rainey both of Gallipolis Ferry, whom she loved with all her heart. She is also survived by aunts and uncles, Rick and Marti Baird of Southside, Bill and Penny Rainey of Point Pleasant, Cindy and Roy Myers of Southside, Susan Rainey of Gallipolis Ferry, Scarlett Enos of Point Pleasant and Debbie Rainey of Gallipolis Ferry; and a host of cousins, family and friends.We all loved Kacee and will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Jonathan Pinson officiating.Burial will follow at the Zion Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry.
