Judith Carol Nibert

Judith Carol Nibert, 81, of Gallipolis, OH, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. She was born June 19, 1940, in Beards Fork, WV, a daughter of the late Buster Harless and Helen (McKinney) Harless. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Nibert; daughter, Earletta Kirker; granddaughter, Amy Henry; brothers, William and Forrest Jones and grandparents, John and Alice McKinney. Judy was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union of Point Pleasant and retired from Holzer Medical Center with 20 years' service.She was also a member of American Legion Post 23 of Point Pleasant and the Point Pleasant Moose Lodge.Judy loved spending time with her family; she loved her Jesus and read her bible daily. She is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Scott) Backenstoe of Washington Court House, OH, Lora (Rodney) Long of Gallipolis and Kristi (Chuck) Williams of Belle, WV; grandchildren, Heather Henry, Tara Eblin, Travis (Sarah) Keefer, Ryan (Valerie) Henry and Shayna Gillenwater; and several great-grandchildren.She is also survived by a sister, Faye Coughenour of Gallipolis; and a special friend, David Martin of Gallipolis. A graveside service and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022, at the Zion Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry, with Pastor Matt Ash officiating.Arrangements are under the direction of the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
