Judith Evelyn Ebert

Judith E. Ebert, 73, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2024, at home.

She was born September 12, 1950, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late Kenneth Alton Spurlock and Emma Ann (Henry) Fisher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Charles Ebert; and a sister, Beverly A. Lilly.

Judy was a member of Faith Gospel Church in Gallipolis Ferry and a graduate of Point Pleasant High School.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joe L. and Jodi Shinn of Point Pleasant; daughter, April L. Taylor of Gallipolis Ferry; stepchildren, David C. (Megan) Ebert II of Point Pleasant and Stefanie M. Gillispie of Ravenswood; and a brother, Thomas (Sandra) Fisher of Gallipolis Ferry. She is also survived by grandchildren, Breanna (Dr. Cody) Stover of Versailles, KY, Brandin (Taylor) Shinn of Point Pleasant, Jarred (Brooklyn) Shinn of Point Pleasant and Nicky Taylor of Gallipolis Ferry; great-grandchildren, Braxtin Shinn, Berkley Shinn, Lincoln Shinn and Blaire Stover; seven step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Pastor Charlie Dabney officiating.  Burial will follow at the Zion Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service Monday at the funeral home.
