Juanita Carol Cooper

Juanita Carol Cooper, 84, of Point Pleasant, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at home.

She was born January 5, 1940, in Point Pleasant, a daughter of the late James Burl Underwood and Katherine Marie (Plants) Underwood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Robert Cooper; and a brother, Merlin Underwood.

Juanita was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ in Henderson, WV.  She was a homemaker and graduate of Point Pleasant High School, Class of 1957.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Michael Dean Cooper of Point Pleasant; a daughter and son-in-law, Mariah and Robert Hurlow of Crown City, OH; grandchildren, Lalla Hurlow, Zane Hurlow and Dalton Hurlow all of Crown City; sisters, Karen Diamond of Pensacola, FL, Burletta Underwood of Point Pleasant and Donna (Phillip) Heck of Gallipolis, OH; a brother, Danny (Connie) Underwood of Point Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, at the Eddy Chapel Cemetery in Leon.  Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
