Joyce Marie Foglesong

Joyce Marie Foglesong, 81, of Gallipolis Ferry, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020, at Arbors of Pomeroy, Pomeroy, OH. She was born April 11, 1939, in Gallipolis Ferry, a daughter of the late Drury L. "Drew" Hatfield and Icie P. (Harper) Hatfield. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Hatfield. Joyce was a member of Jordan Baptist Church at Gallipolis Ferry and was retired from Mason County Schools, with 40 yrs. service as a teacher's aide at Beale Elementary. She is survived by her husband, Earl R. Foglesong of Gallipolis Ferry; son and daughter-in-law, Dan R. and Sharon Foglesong of Gallipolis Ferry; two grandchildren, Drew R. Foglesong of Gallipolis Ferry and Danielle R. (Jarred) Hitt of Starkville, MS; and two sisters, Joan H. Baird of Gallipolis Ferry and Janie (Bill) Bateman of Gallipolis Ferry. A graveside service and burial will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2020, at the Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove, with Ronald Cremeans officiating. Social distancing will be observed and face masks are required. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant.
